Where can I fly RC aircraft in NZ
From 1 August 2015 CAA requires Model Aircraft pilots to obtain land owners permission before flying over any property.
Model Flying New Zealand (the national body for Model Aircraft in New Zealand) have many clubs with airfields throughout the country for flying Model Aircraft. These enthusiastic clubs are willing to help and assist any newcomer where they can with anything involved with the flying of Model Aircraft.
Many parks and reserves controlled by local government allow these activities, please check with them first.
